Introduction/82 Chevy pickup build
Howdy All,
I've started this blog to journal the build of my 82 chevy pickup 6.2 diesel half ton short bed. I've always loved hot rods, most years, most makes and models. To me, it's not the brand (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, etc.) that counts, or the mass produced aftermarket parts. What really gets me about hot rodding, is seeing someone's dream and vision realized in a 2 ton hunk of sheetmetal, rubber, and glass. It's rolling art. Every hot rod is some daring individual's attempt at being different...of exercising their creativity. This truck is my blank canvas.
I've reached a point in my life that I call the prologue to my midlife crisis. I'm not panicking yet about what I could have done or been, but I'm concerned. Not about my career, or about my family, but about my under-used hot rodding genes. Use it or lose it baby!
